Rooted in Excellence, Growing with Purpose
For over four decades, Dark Star Forestry Ltd. has been a trusted partner in British Columbia's forest stewardship. Since our establishment in 1983, we've dedicated ourselves to delivering exceptional silviculture services that balance ecological responsibility with industry excellence.
Our Story
Nestled in the diverse Slocan Valley within the West Kootenays, Dark Star Forestry was born from a vision to provide specialized, high-quality forestry services to British Columbia's unique and challenging landscapes. What began as a small operation has grown into a respected industry leader, yet we've maintained our commitment to personalized service and deep local knowledge.
Over the years, we've built our reputation one project at a time, conducting comprehensive surveys across 5,000-15,000 hectares annually throughout the Arrow, Boundary, Rocky Mountain, Caribou, and Kootenay Lake Forest Districts. Our work spans from remote wilderness areas accessible only by helicopter to established forest lands, demonstrating our versatility and expertise in diverse environments.
